It appears to be of Westfield Police Officer Vincent Piano, a 25 year + veteran of the Westfield Police Department, Officer Piano is seen here allegedly taking a nap while working a security job at Temple Emanuel.
This picture raises a few questions:
1. Did Officer Piano reimburse Temple Emanuel for the time he spent away from his assigned post?
2. The Fact of The Matter has learned that this is not Officer Piano's first incident of alleged sleeping on duty. If so, what was the punishment handed down by Chief Parizeau, the leader of the "quasi-military" Westfield Police department?
3. Was the punishment, if any, for this alleged sleeping incident, the same as the punishment handed down to the supervisors whom Westfield Police Chief Parizeau had evidence of "stealing time". The punishment......none. The thieves were rewarded by being allowed to keep their jobs.

Beat a suspect in custody.....................................................................................................no penalty?
Steal time, as a sworn police officer, from the Town of Westfield/The Taxpayer ....................no penalty?
WPD is run like a "Quasi-Military" organization, doubtful. WPD is run like a "Country Club" with membership privileges, probable. WPD in need of new leadership, absolutely.
My name is Vince Hatala. I got penalized two thousand dollars for that photo. My crime was passing it on as a joke to others and it ended up on the internet because Mr Piano has no friends and a ton of enemies for what ever reasons. Thanks to Mr Auchter who lied to me during my internal investigation I did everything possible to keep the photo out of publication. However once Cliff proved himself to be a liar and untrustworthy I did nothing to stop the photo and videos from being published. So when you see Mr Piano sleeping as Santa the Easter Bunny or Rudolph there is no one to blame but Cliff Auchter.

The best part of your punishment was that you had no choice but to take it as you were in the terminal leave portion of your retirement and if you didnt take it you would not of been able to retire. Speaking of Captain Auchter why did he knowingly give you a punishment that was not acceptable under Attorney General Guidelines,a punishment that he was told was illegal to give to non civil service departments by the Academy Instructor who taught the IA course. (monetary punishments are not applicable or enforceable in non civil service departments) I think they owe you a refund ..................

ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. As far as my punishment goes I will have to contact the AG office and find out what my options are. Especially if he knowingly violated their rules for non civil service departments. Once again thanks and best wishes for a Healthy and Happy 2011.
