Article VII
The Town is committed to providing and maintaining an alcohol and drug free work place. Accordingly, no Town employee is permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs during work time. If the Town suspects an employee of being under the influence of an illegal drug or alcohol during the work day, the Town will, based upon reasonable suspicion, compel the employee to undergo a substance abuse screening at Town expense. The time and location of this screening will be determined at the Town’s sole discretion. If the employee is found to have been under the influence of alcohol or an illegal drug, the employee will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of/his/her employment.
