Mayor Skibitsky Approves Wasteful Spending

Westfield Mayor Andy Skibitsky and town officials approved the use of police department vehicles in Hoboken last weekend.  Hoboken's 3rd annual Lepre-con Day which featured drinking and dancing, replaced the annual parade which was canceled after hundreds of drunk and disorderly complaints resulted in police arrests.
Back in February, the taxpayers of Westfield funded the mobile command centers appearance in Hoboken during the cities NFL Super Bowl festivities leading up to the big game at Met Life Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ.
Mayor Skibitsky has described Westfielders as "altruistic."  When helping fellow Westfield residents, altruism should shine.  However, when it comes to sending equipment and manpower to Hoboken at a cost to the Westfield taxpayer, Mayor Skibitsky should be preaching fiscal responsibility.

  1. More than 100 officers were roaming the streets this weekend, said Falco. Throughout the day, the entire Hoboken Police Department worked in shifts, in addition to more than three dozen officers from the Hudson County Rapid Deployment Force, the Hudson County Sheriff's Office and Westfield Police Department.
what a waste of taxpayers money
    WAKE UP PEOPLE OF WESTFIELD

As long as that clown Morgan is the parking director there, Davy and company will kiss his butt for whatever reason, I for one dont understand it, when he was in Westfield he a joke parading around in that white shirt and fake captain bars.......enough is enough already, time to clean house, see the powers in office get dumped and a new and common sense admin take over.......perhaps bring someone from the outside to run the department....cant trust the brain trust there now....

    1. You're insinuating a brain exists.

  3. When you waste money on something that wasn't needed, other than to satisfy a narcissistic ego, you have to "justify" it's existence. He owes everything to JM, so now he is the puppet. The town will never wake up because birds of a feather, flock together. The biggest waste to the town is that they put this fool in charge after gift wrapping him the position. Who picks up the coffee, now, Davy?

Haha...Triple AAA rating with top notch financial management. You try to bring Westfield down, but nobody cares what you have to say anymore.

    1. No need to bring Westfield down, it's a great town. Just think about how much better it would be without the wasteful spending approved by Skibitsky.

    3. "...try to bring Westfield down" ... Are you kidding? Kasko and this website tries to do the opposite... By pointing out what is bad, the idea is that you hope to then fix problems and make things better. To think Kasko and his website are trying "to bring Westfield down" is just absolutely ridiculous. One (of the many) things that makes this country great is that our politicians and government employees are ultimately held accountable to "We The People." If you prefer to not question your politicians and government employees and hold them accountable, you might be more comfortable living in Cuba or North Korea.

  5. Of course it has triple A rating.........they are using the Democratic tax and spend model of running or should I say ruining the town......ask yourself this...how many times has your taxes in Westfield Increased...???....then do the math, how much could have been saved by frugal spending in these tough economic times.....when the mayor claimed do more with less...he didnt explain that by less it would be less money in my pocket so the town could spend it on equipment and manpower that isnt even used in town....or the county for that matter...... I would like to get my hands on the financials for the town and see exactly how much overtime was incurred....the cost of fuel for the equipment.....the depreciation of the equipment....the initial purchase cost and relate it to the overall tax bill....

  9. Is this the same Morgan that was involved in a sexual harassment claim brought by an employee of the police department when Morgan was a rent-a-cop aka weekend warrior auxiliary officer? Someone needs to drop a dime to Mayor Zimmer. She should have listene to her city council members that questioned the hiring of Morgan.
