Westfield Police Chief David Wayman is no stranger to obtaining toys. Whether its a seized BMW from a drug arrest that he and his sidekick Det. Joe Costanzo pestered the Union County Prosecutor for, or a donated sport utility vehicle for the D.A.R.E. program that Wayman reclaimed for his own personal use, he loves to ride in style. His $300,000 emergency mobile command center has yet to respond to an emergency in Westfield in the two years since town officials approved its purchase.
What Wayman will do with a mobile crane and bulldozer is unknown, but one thing is for sure, Chief Wayman really knows how to shovel it to town officials that allowed these recent acquisitions from the United States military.
How are the potholes on your street?
Maybe he will put lights up a the PBA softball field so he can see who he is fighting with
ReplyDeletedoes he need work done to his house????
ReplyDeleteWhy, are you looking for a promotion? Dave takes care of those that take care of him. Just sayin'
DeleteDid the town pay any money for this equipment?
ReplyDeleteOn January 26th you were spreading propaganda that the town was going to be like Tianamen square square after all the military equipment that would be deployed on the streets? A couple pieces of construction equipment for free is a problem? Holy cow is this a misleading blog. Mindless trolls will still follow you though so don't worry about the truth.
ReplyDeleteI guess you count yourself as one of those "mindless trolls." A couple pieces of equipment would be two or three, not ten or more. Nothing is free. There is a cost factor that comes with the ownership of what you call "free." How are the potholes on your street?
DeleteThank you for the comment.
While satire is a recognized form or writing, I don't expect everyone to understand it or like it.
DeleteHow are the potholes on my street? Drive down Summit Ave from Grove to Clifton and try avoiding hitting one. Potholes a plenty, now they are digging up the street to replace water lines. There has been one pothole as you cross Clifton going south along Summit that has been fixed almost every year for a very long time. The Public Works Dept. is filling potholes around town to the best of their ability, are they using something lasting or something fast?
