Westfield Leader Owner Claims “Hit Squad List” While Candidate Bodmer Alleges Payouts to Smear Campaign Participants

In a Letter to the Editor appearing in today’s Westfield Leader newspaper, Westfield Town Council candidate Rich Bodmer makes accusations of payments made to Democratic supporters that he alleges have smeared his campaign.
Bodmer claims that social capital leader boards like this one, https://support.nationbuilder.com/en/articles/2362765-understanding-virtual-currency  are to blame and believes names appearing on such leader boards is proof of such payoffs.

Westfield Leader owner/editor Horace Corbin’s loyal followers of his publication received emails earlier this year identifying a “hit squad list” of democrat supporters.

    So this guy really thought "social capital" meant... real capital??? If I understand this link correctly, social capital is a measure of user engagement.. you earn these "points" for doing something like signing up for emails, donating, attending an event, or signing a petition. Similar to a video game leader board..

    this fool should try and do some research before making insane accusations like that, it only makes him look stupider..as if that were even possible at this point

    I’m convinced the Westfield Republicans only had Bodmer run, not to win, but to intentionally smear and spew hate about the Dems and Shelley in order to 1. Hurt the other Dem ward campaigns this election and 2. To prepare for next year’s mayoral and council person re-election. They don’t care about Bodmer winning ward 2, they care about doing whatever they can to screw over the other democratic candidates and preparing for the next election to unseat the Dems. It’s easier for them to lose 1 seat if it means having a Trump-like psychopathic incoherent guy run and spread lies and conspiracy theories to try and detract from all the UNDENIABLE AMAZING things Shelley & Co. have done for westfield

    Why are Republicans so out of touch with the times!! They do not understand simple basic things about technology, social media, etc. And thus spread these crazy theories! Get with it! I guess it’s no wonder their campaigns and the Westfield Leader suck so bad
