  1. No news & not one caller. What's the point?

    1. Unfortunately, due to the time that The Fact of The Matter broadcasts live on BlogTalkRadio (11 pm), it limits the number of live listeners the broadcast receives. However, BlogTalkRadio archives allow anyone to tune in at any time and listen to a previously recorded broadcast. TFoTM does not rely on the number of callers as a barometer indicating the success of a broadcast. BlogTalkRadio limits a half hour show to 3 callers; their rules, not ours. Regardless, The Fact of The Matter will continue on in print and on Internet radio. Thank you for your comment and for tuning in.

    2. GuessWhozWho, like the old saying goes "one man's trash is another man's treasure". It didn't stop you from writing a comment and listening to his show.

  2. The point is genius, the residents of Westfield deserve to hear the truth and Greg unlike our illustrious mayor speaks the truth. Thanks Greg for your honesty and hard work. There are MANY of us who appreciate it.

  3. Congratulations in advance for getting to nearly 200,000 pageviews.

Do you have the ability to see from hit data your approximate number of DIFFERENT daily readers?

I would imagine that there are people who, like me, tend to hit reload/refresh all tabs a few times a day regardless of whether or not they're actually reading each and every tab upon each reload/refresh, so each pageview does not mean a different reader nor does it necessarily mean a same reader is going back in for another look in the same day. But, could you tell how many different computers access TFOTM each day - the presumption then being that each different computer represents a different person.

If such data is easily available, I think it would be interesting to get a feel as to the number of different people who are reading each day.

    Thanks.

    1. TFoTM s able to access a "Stats" page that displays the following information: pageviews today, pageviews yesterday, pageviews last month, pageviews all- time in addition to an ever-changing bar graph showing each category of pageviews. TFoTM is also able to identify what traffic sources are being used to access The Fact of The Matter. Those sources include referring URL's and referring sites such as Yahoo, AOL, Bing, Facebook, Google, Patch, NJ.com, etc. TFoTM can also identify what countries the pageviews are coming from and on what devices our readers are accessing The Fact of The Matter from such as iPhones, Blackberry, iPad, McIntosh, Windows, etc. Any IP address information is stored by Google's servers and not available through TFoTM's Stat page. I hope this answers your questions and thank you for your comment questions and continued support.

I regret I listened to this radio talk show only last night. I hope that there will be many people that listen to it. Thank you Greg for your interest in this issue. Thanks for your presentation of the TRUE story of the Central Avenue mid-block crosswalk. Like always, the data you presented is TRUE because it is based on official documents. I compared the yearly number of the accidents on this 120 ft. stretch of the road presented by you Tuesday night with the ones presented by Mayor Skibitsky at the staged meeting on February 14. It is incredible to me how he dares to present false, fabricated data in front of the Channel 36 camera, in front of the residents of our town. The Mayor indicated on page 25 of his presentation the No. of accidents as follows: 4 accidents in 2006 instead of 2, 5 accidents instead of 3 in 2007, he even did not present 2008 and 2009 because there were ZERO accidents . Since mid-2010 until now 12 accidents have occurred because of the mid-block crosswalk’s configuration and because the intersection of Central & Clover is not controlled and it hasn’t been controlled for 30 years. The frequency of these accidents never happened before around this location, 7 accidents in 10 ½ months! There is also fabricated data consisting of a false diagram not corresponding to the Central-Clover intersection on page 16 of Mayor Skibitsky’s presentation. It depicts 3 crosswalks instead of one, trying to increase the number of “points of conflict” from 2 to 12. All these misrepresentation of the facts and other inconsistent data as well, are the Mayor’s way to deceive the residents and the members of his own Westfield Council whom he pushed to vote against the recommendation of the Pennoni experts report on February 14. He probably sent this fabricated data to the Union County Freeholders trying to convince them that this terribly unsafe spot is “the safest location”. Not only is the HAWK light unsafe at its current mid-block location, but all the signs on the road and especially leaving the intersection uncontrolled, the configuration of this 120 ft. of Central Avenue road has made the place so dangerous for everybody, pedestrians and drivers alike. It is an embarrassment for all of us, including me, who voted for him. We thought he would work for people and not against them. When a mistake is made, it should be corrected and not covered with a pile of untrue statements and offensive remarks addressed to the affected residents. Thank you again Greg Kasko for your integrity and courage to fight for our entire community against this injustice.
