Infamous Pickup Truck “For Sale”

The infamous pick up truck that allegedly caused a snowball effect of an investigation, eventually creating an avalanche of exposed corruption forcing Westfield Police Thief Wayman to resign, is up for sale on municibid.

The truck is being sold and for the right price, you could buy it and recreate Wayman’s attempt to maneuver it out of the police impound lot at the Westfield Conservation Center on Lambertsmill Rd. without hitting a parked vehicle with the front plow.

Wayman was unsuccessful, but you just might get lucky and not have to cover up an accident, like he did by having a fabricated hit and run report filed.

Perhaps for the right price, let’s say the difference in reduced salary suffered by Sgt. Leonard Lugo when he was demoted from lieutenant to sergeant for his role in the coverup, along with his alleged accomplice abilities in Wayman’s heist from the department’s evidence/property room, you too can recreate the web of corruption and lies that led to their demise.  Maybe they will throw in a pair of bolt cutters!

So get going!  Put in the bid now before you miss out on some Westfield PD history and memorabilia!

Get permission from the town to turn the conservation center into an amusement ride where drivers can relive Wayman’s cluster-fuck by driving around hitting parked vehicles and then lying about it.

  1. It would really be hilarious if the winning bidder parked the infamous pickup in front of Driver 1's house and left it there for a few days on and off. Maybe even decal it with "Driver 1 Suspect Vehicle"

  3. What's the story with these new police cars? I assume it was a decision to be (1) more fuel efficient and (2) make police look "less strong."

As a Westfield taxpayer, I think our police officers and police equipment should be built as tough and intimidating as possible. These new cars are very wimpy looking. It seems to me like it's just one more case of the ridiculous new narrative that somehow, "criminals are now good and police officers and law-abiding citizens are now bad."

Can TFOTM and/or current police officers who are in the know on this please weigh in?

I hope our police officers (heroes!) are being treated by the people of Westfield with the respect they deserve, even if these silly/wimpy new cars weaken them in a Superman/kryptonite way.

Please advise for this curious taxpayer/voter. Thanks!!

    1. The WPD is still using the same police package Ford Explorer that they have had since the Crown Victoria was discontinued. If you're referring to the new black Ford Escape's that the WPD recently acquired that are hybrid, they are solely used for construction/traffic jobs that require a marked vehicle for safety purposes. Yes, they may not be as robust as the Ford Explorer, but they serve a purpose and are extremely cost effective. For years the vehicles used for construction/traffic jobs were the older patrol vehicles that were near their end of life and required a lot of maintenance, not to mention the amount of gas used to idle at a construction assignment. The hybrid's use extremely minimal amount of gas and were not acquired to be used in everyday patrol use.

    3. Police vehicles have computers, communication systems, and other electronics that must be continuously charged which requires the engine to be running.

    4. The hybrid Ford Escapes used for traffic/construction assignments do not have computers, or communication systems (police radio) in them, they only have lights and sirens. The Officer that uses any one of the hybrid Ford Escapes for a traffic assignment must use his/her portable police radio for communication to Police headquarters.

  4. "Driver 1 Suspect Vehicle" must have been very popular, after 50 bids, it sold for $ 4700.00. I hope someone local bought it so Driver 1 will see it around town.

    1. Perhaps the new owner can use it to transport stolen liquor and other proceeds from a workplace heist just like Driver 1.
