The Fact of The Matter has uncovered a web of alleged collusion between a sitting town councilman and town council candidates regarding the fabricated election season scandal known as “Tote Bag-Gate.”
Multiple sources have confirmed that a local business owner was encouraged to post on Facebook, statements that are allegedly false, defamatory, and made with actual malice that may subject the person to legal action.
The original post appeared on the “Residents of Westfield” Facebook group which included comments accusing a local business woman of impropriety and crimes under New Jersey and Federal statutes.
Town council candidate Denise Garrett reposted the alleged libelous Facebook post on her own campaign page along with her own introduction including recommendations that people should read the full contents of the original post/thread, stating…..”is definitely one of interest.”
Town Council candidate Garrett goes on to remark…..”Transparency is what we are asking for.” Well, TFoTM agrees and will soon expose the information obtained so that the public can make their own decision on this recent manufactured so-called scandal.
The posts have since been removed most likely because of a cease and desist letter sent to those involved.
TFoTM is awaiting an OPRA (Open Public Records Request) that will bridge the gap of alleged collusion between a sitting Westfield Town councilman and a current Westfield Town Council candidate.
Much more to come on this that will reveal the real scandal, political collusion to create controversy in the midst of an election season.
Below is a screenshot of Denise Garret’s Facebook post but does not include the original defamatory post referenced above.
