If Only He Worked In Westfield

Middletown cop charged with fourth degree crime for his lying and coverup of an accident.
If only he worked in Westfield.

Disgraced ex-police thief and chief David Wayman retired from Westfield with the blessings of town officials in 2018 after TFoTM exposed his falsified police accident report and subsequent thefts from the police department property room.

Sources have stated that Wayman and his attorney bartered a deal with the Union County Prosecutors Office that allowed Wayman to retire without facing a criminal trial.  A source has stated that Wayman allegedly threatened to expose corruption between Mayor Skibitsky and Town Administrator Jim Gildea regarding the town budget if he were charged criminally.

  1. This is a very sad situation, but it is as equally disappointing. When any officer engages in this type of conduct, he/she violates the trust and integrity of the community in which they have sworn to protect and serve, and also violates the trust and integrity of their co-workers. Police Officers are always held to higher standard.
