Westfield Police Chief Wayman Emblazons Name

Westfield Police Chief Dave Wayman was all smiles when he was introduced as Westfield Police Chief at a town council meeting.  Hearing his name is obviously not enough?  Visitors to the front entrance of the police department will now have the opportunity to "see" the police chief's name emblazoned on glass letting them know who is in charge. Employees are now reminded each time they walk through the front door that Wayman is their Chief.
Wayman is the first police chief to have his name posted on the outside of the building.   A source speaking on the condition that TFoTM would not reveal their identity stated, "It's to remind everyone who the chief is because we still can't believe he was picked to be chief."
Wayman is no stranger to demanding the respect he thinks he deserves once proclaiming that a former police chief held back his (Wayman's) career.  Wayman's career has been marred with some questionable actions, including the loss of a firearm, anger management issues that have allegedly led to the harassment of academy recruits and fellow employees as well as the heavy handed treatment of suspects.  .

Wayman must earn the respect of others, it doesn't just appear one day on the front door of a building.

***TFoTM thought Wayman would have had a handicapped bathroom door with his name on it long before the doorway to the police department would be forever altered.  Go to the following TFoTM link to read story of Wayman's arrogance and selfishness:  http://07090.blogspot.com/2011/01/captains-kingdom-keys-to-his-porcelain.html

  2. Dear Taxpayer of Westfield,

Thank you for changing my Blue Cross plan, before I had a $10 co pay and Chiropractic benefits but recently you changed my plan taking away Chiropractic from me and increasing my co pay....as a retired member of the department when I walked out the door I was told that my benefits wouldnt change and I would have them till Medicare took over.....since the town cannot or will not live up to their obligations to the men and women who served the town and in order to save money to buy a half million dollar piece of equipment that will hardly be deployed here is my plan....since I lost Chiropractic benefits that I had to pay into for...I am going to see all the specialists I can ie orthopedic, neurological, and pain management..... its only going to cost me a few dollars to go to these people and you the town are going to be on the hook for the difference...shame that the town doesnt live up to the obligations for the retired people but instead will give an egotistical self indulging Chief whatever he wants Mr. Mayor how do you shave in the morning look yourself in the mirror and not want to cut your own throat you and your cronies are a disgrace to the the town.....buy the way do the math I am going cost you a fortune going to specialists now instead of having what I was promised when I retired.....Hey Gildea wake up.....

  3. Town is not self-insured. All risks are pooled and town is experience rated to determine rates and annual charges. One person going to lots of doctors will not really cost the town much if anything.

  4. Thats where you are wrong.....the town isnt in a health care pool....the rates are set by the claims that put into BCBS over the course of the year....now if we loose our benefits for a certain thing...ie chiropractic....we are force to find pain relief elsewhere...pain management or other medical professions..do the math its less expensive for the town to keep our old plan then to pay for the latter...

  5. Mr. Kasko, it is "led", not "lead". Time for some grammar lessons.

Guess Who, like the teachers in this town, it is time to get with what the rest of the US is paying for medical benefits, even if you are retired. Sounds like you feel entitled.

    2. Dear Anonymous,

Since you feel its necessary to correct others I have to correct you....I am not entitled to my benefits, I was promised them and expect the town to live up to their promise/obligation.....I dont know what world you live in but if you are promised something it is up to the other party to deliver if not then dont use benefits and other incentives to seal a contract.
